Jack Nelson gave it his best for the Wisconsin Badgers, playing as starter in all his four years with them.
The last season, however, did not lead to a significant team success.

He is moving on and is now preparing for the 2025 NFL draft. Still, their failed season runs on his mind from time to time.
Talking to Badgers Notes’ Dillon Graff, he said that his last year was not as satisfying as he wanted it to be. It’s not really about the way they ended the season as a team but more on his individual performance.
“I felt like I had a lot more on my plate,” he said.
“I don’t think I performed my best that season, and I knew I had a lot more to prove. I felt like I owed it to Wisconsin—a city, a program that had given me so much, the university itself given my family so much, and I decided I owed it to them to really give everything I had to that program.”

What Nelson feels is understandable. His family has been a mainstay of the Wisconsin Badgers football program with his father being a former player of the team and two other brothers still with them.
Badgers pride runs in his blood.
Nelson is still thankful for Wisconsin Badgers
Nelson is not satisfied with his last season but he remains thankful for the opportunity.
“Words cannot express how much I love this program, the city of Madison, and the state of Wisconsin…I look forward to the future of the Wisconsin Badgers and am proud to represent UW as I begin the next chapter of preparing for the NFL draft,” he said back in January when he announced his decision to go pro.

As for the new challenge, he insisted that Wisconsin football will remain with him and he will carry it to the professional gridiron.
“It means the world to kind of carry on that [Wisconsin offensive line] legacy,” Nelson said. “I feel like it’s my responsibility to those that came before me, to those that come after me, to those that are there right now to give everything I got and put my best foot forward here.”
