Wisconsin Badgers football made drastic changes with their line-up over the summer and among those who will be featured prominently is Lance Mason who they got from Missouri State Bears.

The tight end has been impressing his coaches and spectators during their open practices but there’s another guy he thought is making his job easier. This is the same guy head coach Luke Fickell and the rest of the Badgers community are strongly relying on to to save their season.
Billy Edwards Jr. takes over as the main quarterback for the Badgers after Tyler Van Dyke left Miami Hurricanes. Mason says their QB is a stud.
“Billy is a stud. He’s one of those guys who I met early on,” Mason told reporters after practice.
“He came here and he was always trying to build a relationship with me. He makes sure we build a connection whenever we are doing routes in the summer. Yeah, he’s a great leader.”

Edwards Jr. has been impressing his coaches since arrival and first look a few months ago. Fickell especially praised the way he connects with his teammates as the the trait that makes him different.
Lance Mason is a stud himself
All eyes are on Edwards Jr. but Mason is another player to watch out for.
The veteran tight end is being praised by TE coach Nate Letton, calling his arrival a ‘big jump on talent’.
“I don’t know if I was surprised by what we’re seeing out here from him, but I’m certainly appreciative of how he’s approached it,” Letton said as quoted by On3.com.

“He hasn’t backed down. It’s a big jump in talent. The guys he’s seeing out there are a little bit different than what he’s accustomed to. He set his jaw, went to work, and produced at a high level.”
UW supporters will get to see the dynamics between Mason, Edwards Jr. and the rest of the Badgers on August 28 against the Miami Redhawks.
