Wisconsin Badgers football fans hailed the team’s signing of Lance Mason who spent three seasons with the Missouri State Bears.

He is a veteran who knows how to win. Supporters are hoping he will be among those who will bring the team back to football glory. The pressure is there for him to deliver but more than anyone, it is him who puts pressure to himself.
He could have stayed with Missouri State, especially with the fact that his former team fared better in their conference compared to the Badgers who failed to make a Bowl game last season. It was the first time they did not play in a Bowl game since 2001.
Mason said he loved every moment he had with the Bears but he is looking for new challenges as he is set to make himself available for the pro level after this new season.

His best year with the Bears was last season when he caught 34 passes for 590 yards and posted six touchdowns.
Lance Mason sees Wisconsin Badgers as stepping stone
Mason coming to Badgers was not automatic. In fact, the team had to compete with other top programs for his commitment.
Lance Mason, the #Sooners’ top portal target at TE, has committed to Wisconsin.

“I was happy at Missouri State. I loved the coaches and I loved the players,” Mason said in an interview with Badger247.
“It really just came down to what I thought would be best for my future and career. As far as the NFL goes, I wanted to set myself up.

He thought Badgers is the perfect avenue for him to do that.
“There’s a short window here. I’ve got one year left. I figured that showing I could perform at the highest level of college football would leave no questions about the competition level.”
