The Wisconsin Badgers football staff welcomed a talented 2024 safety to the campus earlier this month. After hosting Kahmir Prescott of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania recently, the Badgers received a crystal ball prediction to land the recruit. Prescott has been heavily recruited by Wisconsin coach Colin Hitschler as he slowly nears a college commitment in the coming months. Plenty of schools have been after the recruit, but the Badgers appear eager to land his commitment.
Wisconsin Badgers: Can the Team Land Three-Star Kahmir Prescott?
Kahmir Prescott of Northeast High School in Philadelphia is a 2024 three-star safety who currently holds 12 major offers. Prescott ranks as the 24th overall player from the state of Pennsylvania and the 69th overall safety in his recruiting class. The composite 2024 football recruiting rankings on 247 Sports ranks Prescott as the 52nd overall safety, which is quite the boost.

The talented safety comes in at six foot one inch, 190 pounds as he roams the middle of the gridiron. Prescott got his breakout chance for Northeast this year as he recorded 35 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and four interceptions. Prescott also recorded a sack, six pass defenses, and 208 interception return yards. The year before as a sophomore, Prescott also recorded 35 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble for his team.
The Wisconsin Badgers have been one of the more active teams lately in the recruiting of Prescott. Coach Colin Hitschler has gotten his chance to pitch to Prescott for both Cincinnati and Wisconsin as he leads the charge for Prescott. The safety has gone under the radar so far, but recently started his visits as he stopped by Madison and Penn State as well. The Nittany Lions played hosts for Prescott a month before the Badgers got their chance. Penn State has been the other team chasing after the recruit in the last few months.
2024 Football Recruiting Rankings: Three-Star Safety May Be Huge Commitment
Currently in the 2024 recruiting rankings, Kahmir Prescott is the second ranked safety in Pennsylvania behind the number six recruit in the state, Jason Cross. Cross also holds an offer from Penn State, who is looking to rebuild their talented secondary. Cross could become the go-to option for the Nittany Lions as the recruit begins to narrow down his list of schools.
The Nittany Lions have already landed the highly touted 2024 in-state recruit Quinton Martin from Belle Vernon. Martin has the potential to play multiple different positions in college, but safety is one of the primary positions he has experience at. Between Martin and Cross, the Nittany Lions already have a potentially busy room, which means the best option for Kahmir Prescott might be going elsewhere for his collegiate career.
Between coach Hitschler and the culture of football that the Wisconsin Badgers program is developing, Prescott would be an excellent fit in their future plans. There are 11 safeties in the 2024 class that have already committed, and a handful of others who have received crystal balls.
The Badgers also hold a crystal ball prediction for the 28th overall safety, Koi Perich of Minnesota. Perich is a four-star recruit who also made a visit to Madison recently as he began to narrow his list of schools. The Wisconsin Badgers are in a great position to land both Perich and Prescott as the Spring season continues to rage on.
