One of the biggest stars on the Wisconsin Badgers radar currently is a certain 2024 three-star linebacker from Tennessee. The Badgers have loved Crews Law since they initially started recruiting him, but as the offers continue to stack up for Law, Wisconsin will need to work harder to land the talented recruit.
Law is no stranger to Madison, and just recently visited campus this past week, but the Badgers will have to work harder to land their prized recruit. The linebacker is already scheduled to make his next round of visits across the nation this month.
Wisconsin Badgers Football: Crews Law Lights Up Fields
Crews Law is a 2024 three-star recruit from Nashville, Tennessee, where he currently attends Christ Presbyterian Academy. Law is the starting middle linebacker for his high school, with this past season being his biggest breakout offensively at running back. The versatile athlete ranks as the 40th overall player in Tennessee and the 92nd overall linebacker in the 2024 class.
This past season Law recorded 181 yards on 27 carries and also tallied nine touchdowns for his team. On defense, Law secured 101 total tackles and nine tackles for loss, along with 6.5 sacks and one pass defense. The linebacker can do it all, and even runs players over on offense with his incredible speed and strength. Law is extremely quick on defense and his pursuit ability makes it hard for the offense to get away.
In his junior season highlights from this past year, Law is not just fast but also physical. Law sends himself directly at the ball carrier and he is not afraid to put his body on the line to make plays. Often, Law can be seen on his highlight reel throwing players around and knocking them over with his hits. At six foot one inch, 205 pounds, Law is too physical for most of his opponents who struggle to move him.
Can the Wisconsin Badgers Land the Talented Linebacker?
The recruiting process has been great for Law thus far as he currently has over 28 offers. The three schools that have stood out the most in the recruiting process have been the University of North Carolina, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt. Law seems to be interested in those universities the most as he has visited them the most, but it is a process. Law likely has not made up his mind yet since he is starting a second round of visits, along with his official visits this summer.
The Wisconsin Badgers have already gotten the chance to recruit Law twice on campus in Madison, but Law has only met with the new staff once. Coach Mike Tressel has loved the linebacker since he started recruiting him, and even Law himself has acknowledged that Tressel is particularly interested in him. Law would certainly add a new level of physicality to the program that could be beneficial for them in the future. The play style of the linebacker combines speed and power into a frame that is ready for the collegiate level.
