Wisconsin Badgers basketball have learned who they will face in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Another thing they know is their capability to bounce back, the reason why forward Carter Gilmore is not being discouraged.

The team missed the opportunity to win the Big Ten title after they lost to Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten tournament.
Their spirits were off the roof before that as they recorded convincing wins against Penn State Nittany Lions, UCAL Bruins, and Michigan State Spartans to book a spot in the last dance.
The team only lost grip of the title in the last three minutes against Wolverines, no thanks to their defensive lapses.
Score was tied at 53 with 46 seconds remaining. However, Vladislav Goldin was able to force a foul to untie the knot and build a 2-point lead. The Badgers went blank and they were forced to foul Tre Donaldson who made both attempt in the stripes.

Another empty possession, another foul (on Danny Wolf) and the game is over, 59-53.
Carter Gilmore believes they can bounce back
Season is not over and the Badgers still have another shot on basketball glory when they start their tourney vs Montana Grizzlies in the first round.
Gilmore said they can bounce back and he is confident with his team’s chances as they lost in a game where they just just 17.9 percent from the three.
It was bad shooting day but he believes it won’t be like that again. They can recover from a loss, as they have done all-season long.

“Every loss is a learning lesson and every time this year we have taken one on the chin, we’ve done a great job bouncing back, learning from it, not dwelling on it,” he said.
Gilmore said they will use the long break to be able to find out ways they can improve.
“(Sunday) our 3’s weren’t falling, and we gotta find out how to win in other ways. We got a week to recover. Get ready. So again, back home. Get extra shots up. Recover. Watch the film.”
