The Wisconsin Badgers are in the mix for Shahn Alston as well as Penn State and USC. The 2026 4-Star RB will announce his commitment at the Navy All American Bowl Game in San Antonio on Jan. 11.
Alston, 5’10” and 200 pounds, out of Painesville Harvey High School in Ohio, is one of the top running back prospects in the class of 2026. He has all the tools: size, vision, contact balance, and he’s physical with speed.
Shahn’s rushing numbers sophomore year
This is a great stat from this 2023 season. Harvey High School running back Shahn Alston ran for 1,042 yards.
Alston has 651 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns through nine games as a freshman. Shahn Alston was selected CVC Player of the Week.
Wisconsin’s talented offensive line
The Wisconsin Badgers have great offensive line talent to assist on his journey. Badgers’ offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes football is all about the run game.
The Badgers also had great running backs in the past such as Melvin Gordon, Johnathan Taylor and Ron Dayne. Since 2012 the Badgers have had five running backs drafted to the NFL while USC has three and Penn State has two.
