The Milwaukee Bucks are 1-3 to start the 2024-2025 season. Milwaukee is currently in 14th in the Eastern Conference. Only the Detroit Pistons are worse than them to start in the 2024-2025 NBA season.
The Bucks will be playing again on Thursday on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies. It will be a must win-game for Milwaukee. If they don’t win this game, things could continue to go south for them.
ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins Comments About the Milwaukee Bucks Early Season Issues
On Tuesday, ESPN NBA Analyst Kendrick Perkins spoke about the Bucks’s early season issues. Many people like him thought they would be good this season, but it has not turned out to be the case so far. Perkins said:
“They got real issues, when you have [Giannis & Damian Lillard] going off and you’re still losing games… The chemistry is not there… They took a guy like Patrick Beverley for granted.”
That is a stretch to say that this team needed to keep Patrick Beverley. Beverley not being on the team this season has nothing to do with the Bucks’s struggles. It is deeper than that.
The Milwaukee Bucks’ issue starts with general manager Jon Horst. He did not do a good job of building the roster in the offseason around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

Agree with the Bucks having serious problems, but Pat Bev ain’t it.

Dame reached out to Giannis to workout over the summer. Giannis declined.

The dynasty is falling apart 😩
Loosing guys like Beverly sucks sure, but your goal as GM/President is to replace them with value players based on salary cap space.
Bucks are top heavy and it is hurting them!

The interesting thing is that had Beverley been brought back, he would have been suspended for the first four games of the 2024-2025 NBA season anyway. He is playing overseas in Tel Aviv, Israel. Also, this comment by Kendrick Perkins is crazy talk.
