Thanasis Antetokounmpo is no longer part of the Milwaukee Bucks but he still makes his presence felt whenever he sits court side for their home games.
He’s been to four home games this season and the Bucks won them all. He jokingly thinks that him being in the arena is the reason why his brother Giannis and the team are on a streak.
“What’s the Bucks record when Thanasis is on courtside?”, he asked on X through his podcast Thanalysis.

In his podcast, he and his co-host also discussed how the Bucks are changing their approach to the games, particularly lowering the minutes of Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton. The latter only got playing time in the win over the Heat three days ago.
He also commended young guys like Andre Jackson Jr. and AJ Green for their physicality on defense.
As for the win over the Wizards in which his brother recorded his first ever 40-point triple double a masterclass by the Bucks.
His message to his brother after a record-setting performance?
“I’m proud of you. Don’t stop.”
Thanasis Antetokounmpo on the Bucks? Giannis misses him
Right now, there is no assurance that Thanasis will be able to return to his former team with whom he won the NBA title in 2021.
He tore his achilles during the 2024 playoffs and was not re-signed by the Bucks over the summer as he will need an entire season to recover from it.
The Greek Freak spoke in November 14 how he misses his brother on the court and spoke about his role in creating team chemistry.
I definitely miss him. I feel like if TA was here I would have scored 70. No it’s a real thing. He’s my motor. Whenever I look at the bench, he always looks at me and say ‘don’t stop’. You are a machine. Don’t stop. Don’t take it for granted. And then all of a sudden you look up, ‘Oh s***! I got 70. I got 60’. Whatever. But definitely, I miss him.
