Sarah Franklin had an illustrious volleyball career with the Wisconsin Badgers that included being named 2023 AVCA National Player of the Year, a 2023 ESPY Female Athlete of the Year Nominee, and being a four-time All-American. Her next steps are playing professionally with LOVB Madison in which on Monday, December 30 she was welcomed by her new teammates.
LOVB Madison welcomed Sarah Franklin to her first practice
In a video posted on social media by LOVB Madison, Sarah Franklin was welcomed to the team that included all new LOVB apparel, hugs from teammates, as well giving the endorsement to her teammates to be called by her nicknames “Frank, Tank, or Franky”. Franklin also went on to say, “I’m just really excited to be able to play with some really high level people and some high level coaches that I can just learn from more. That’s a really big goal of mine.”

What might Sarah Franklin’s role on LOVB Madison be?
Sarah Franklin is one of five outside hitters on LOVB Madison’s roster. Others include Daly Santana, Mariena Hayden, Jennifer Janiska, and Claire Chausse. This is a very talented group of players, in which all but Franklin have pro volleyball experience, but Franklin’s physicality and skill set should give her an edge for significant playing time.
