Aaron Rodgers was not brought in the by Pittsburgh Steelers because of what he can do with his arms but also because of all the wise words he can impart to the younger players in the squad.

A-Rod is entering his 21st season through the AFC North team and is expected to affect not only the standing of the team but also the persona lives of his teammates.
Work has already started for him and the latest project he is dealing with is sophomore Roman Wilson who played just one game last season. Wilson is a third round 84th overall pick who entered the league with so much upside but that upside is yet to be seen as he still can’t find the playing time he wants.
Rodgers thinks he got what it takes to burst into the front of the line-up but what he is lacking right now is conviction.
“I gotta get Ro out of his head a little bit,” Rodgers said through 93.7 The Fan show.

“I think he’s such a good kid. He cares so much, whether it’s my approval or if he’s doing it right. He’s just gotta trust himself, because he’s so damn talented.”

Aaron Rodgers preaches self-trust
Rodgers is known for establishing relationship with his wide receivers as he is obsessed connecting with them for better offense. Taking Wilson under his wings is no coincidence.
He believes Wilson can compete but he is held back by his lack of self-confidence. Thus, the four-time MVP preaches trust one one’s self.
“The more you can play free and not think out there, the better he’s gonna play,” he continued.

“The more he can just trust what he’s got, and then just go out there and react, the better he can play.”
Right now, there is a plan set for Wilson according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
It will still be a long way up for him as DK Metcalf will be the team’s WR1.
