Memphis Grizzlies has shockingly fired Taylor Jenkins despite them just being one game away from the fourth spot in the Western Conference standings. The front office might want to take a look at this former Milwaukee Bucks guard if Patrick Beverley is to be listened to.
Beverley, a former Bucks guard himself, believes three-time NBA champion Sam Cassell has the chops to become a head coach in the NBA.

Cassell retired in 2008 after winning his third title as a player with the Boston Celtics. He then won his first ever championship in his coaching career with the same team last season.
He has been working as an assistant coach since 2009 after an illustrious playing career.
PatBev, together with former All-Star Gilbert Arenas, laid down the reasons why Cassell is due for a head coach role in the world’s best professional basketball league.
“Sam Cassell. He should have a coaching job,” Beverley began in the podcast.

His co-hosts agreed with him.
“He was great with the Sixers.”
This is the second time Beverley pushed for Cassell to become a head coach after vouching for him last season.
Credentials of the former Milwaukee Bucks guard
PatBev then listed down Cassell’s accomplishment as the man on the drawing board.
“Clippers. Western Conference finals, Eastern Conference Finals. He’s been there.”
Arenas chimed in to explain why the 55-year-old is yet to get a head coaching role.

“He didn’t want to be a head coach. He loved that assistant thing. He was like ‘I want to be the assistant coach. I want to be with the players. I want to teach the players.'” Arenas said.
Both former players ended their take by declaring that the current Celtics assistant coach ‘deserves it.;’
Cassell played three seasons with the Bucks from 1999 to 2003 although his best seasons were played when he was part of the Houston Rockets that won the 1994 and the 1995 NBA title.
He is part of the Milwaukee Bucks’ Greatest Player Ever list during the team’s 40th anniversary celebration.
