The Green Bay Packers are considering a major trade to acquire Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, a two-time Pro Bowler.
Following a disappointing playoff exit and with star receiver Christian Watson sidelined until at least November 2025, the Packers’ options in the passing game are limited. Metcalf, entering the last year of his $72 million contract, could provide a much-needed boost.
His significant trade value may entice the Seahawks to move him, especially as they have a potential replacement ready.
This move could help the Packers enhance their offense in an increasingly competitive NFC North.
Metcalf’s acquisition could enhance the Packers’ offense, but it would also strain their salary cap. Due to the team’s current financial commitments and roster makeup, trading for a high-profile player requires careful financial analysis.
