The Green Bay Packers are bound to see some massive changes to their roster this off-season. They’ve been involved in numerous trade reports on both sides of the ball ever since the off-season began.
However, now its their division rival who is on the brink of a franchise-altering change.
Packers’ Division Rival Expected To Lose Quarterback After Huge Trade (Breaking)
ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler reported the Las Vegas Raiders acquired Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith:
The Seahawks will get a third-round pick in the trade, sources said.
The trade reunites Smith with Pete Carroll, who coached Smith in Seattle from 2020 to 2023.
Smith is coming off an up-and-down 2024 season in which he passed for a career-best 4,320 yards, a franchise record, to go with 21 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
While starting all 17 games, Smith also posted a completion rate of 70.4% (fifth), carrying an offense with an overmatched line and no consistent run game. He also led four game-winning drives, giving him nine over the past two seasons to tie Patrick Mahomes for the most in the NFL in that span.
Following the trade, Sam Darnold has been directly linked to Seattle Seahawks via Dianna Russini:

The Seattle Seahawks are now targeting Sam Darnold.
It is very possible that Seattle will be willing to pay Darnold more than Minnesota will. Minnesota has a long-term plan at quarterback, Seattle not so much anymore. Here is a look at Darnold’s stats in 2024:
