Breaking Weather Update For Packers-Saints Game Issued by National Weather Service
During most of Monday, a wintry mix of snow and freezing drizzle is expected to affect the Green Bay area:
The weather could create issues for the morning commute, holiday travelers and Green Bay Packers fans head to Monday night’s game against the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The storm system is expected to progress from snow to a mix of freezing drizzle Sunday night into early Monday, turning to mainly snow by Monday afternoon, and returning to a light mix Monday evening, the weather service said.
Snow accumulations range from 1-2 inches in Green Bay area to a trace to 2 inches in Fox Cities. The weather service said both Green Bay and Appleton could see some ice accumulation of “a light glaze/couple hundredths of an inch possible everywhere.”
Here is a breakdown of the expected weather:

Sunday: High near 31 with winds of 18 mph possible.

Sunday night: A 70% chance of precipitation in the form of snow (less than a half-inch) between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., followed by freezing rain. A low of 27 with the temperature rising to 30 by 2 a.m.

Monday: An 80% chance of precipitation with the possible combination of snow, drizzle and freezing rain before noon. After that, snow, likely mixed with drizzle between noon and 3 p.m., followed by possible drizzle, snow, freezing rain after 3 p.m. There will be “little or no ice accumulation” but we may see 1-2 inches of snow.
