The Green Bay Packers know that this off-season will be huge for the immediate future of their franchise. They’re currently on the cusp of that “next level,” however, many fans feel like additions need to be made to take them from playoff contenders to Super Bowl contenders.
As it turns out, there’s a guy quarterback Jordan Love might already have in mind.
“That’s My Guy” Packers’ QB Jordan Love Identifies WR He Wants (Report)
Adding a wide receiver with substantial ties to Green Bay would be a great addition to the team, according to Jordan Love:
Davante Adams, who played for the Packers from 2014 to 2021, was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 and subsequently to the New York Jets in 2024.
During his tenure with Green Bay, Adams established himself as a premier wide receiver, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections and becoming a favorite target for then-quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
In a recent appearance on the “Up and Adams” show, host Kay Adams posed a question to Love, hinting at the potential addition of Adams back in Green Bay.
“What if it’s a guy who has my last name?” Adams asked.
Love responded with a smile, stating, “I’m not mad about it. Davante, that’s my guy.”

As he elaborated, he praised the former Packer:
“Obviously, I was with him for a good amount of time in Green Bay my first couple seasons, and I know exactly what type of player he is,” said Love. “Phenomenal guy.”
While Love and Adams were teammates during Love’s first seasons with the Packers, their on-field collaboration was limited since Love was primarily a backup to Rodgers. It will be interesting to see if they try to get Adams back to Green Bay to compete for a championship.
