    Packers’ Top 3 NFC Wide Receiver Free Agent Targets: 2025 (Report)

    The Green Bay Packers suddenly have a need at wide receiver heading into the 2025 off-season.  Christian Watson is expected to miss the start of the year and the presence of a true star wide receiver is needed.  Green Bay signing Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs proved to be massive.

    However, if the team wants to get into the wide receiver market, here are the top three names they should target in the NFC.

    Wide receiver free agents include a potential No. 1 and a slew of veteran numbers twos.  Here are the top three in the NFC:

    Packers’ Number Three: Zay Jones – Arizona Cardinals

    In 2024, Jones has been relegated to a supporting role with the Cardinals after playing for the Bills, Raiders, and Jaguars in the past. In 2022, he had his best year with 823 yards and five touchdowns, but was phased out at Jacksonville. Over the last two seasons, he has averaged 9.5 yards per reception:

    In his one season with the Chicago Bears, the former Chargers receiver struggled to find success in their offense. It showed in his numbers. He was the third receiver in the Windy City, and at this point in his career, that’s probably where he’ll be in 2025.

    Packers’ Number One: Chris Godwin – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    The Bucs have benefited from Godwin being the second-best receiver for several years while Mike Evans has eaten up double coverage. When healthy in 2024, he was still very effective despite an injury ending his season.

    He is the clear cut best free agent wide receiver option in the NFC.
