Josh Jacobs played big time for the Green Bay Packers in their wildcard round game against the Philadelphia Eagles, recording 18 times for 81 yards and a touchdown.
Those numbers were not enough as they fell to the no. 2 seed, ending their 2024 campaign with three straight losses going back from the last two weeks of the elimination round.
Jacobs himself is aware that they were not enough against the much-favored Eagles and so, as early as now, he is already looking to improve for the 2025 season.
Talking to reporters post-game, the veteran running-back hinted that he has some guys in his mind to bring to Lambeau Field.
“Main thing on my mind is figure out you know, how do we take the next step. How do I help the guys take their step,” he said.
He also touched on the topic of free agency saying their locker room will be a lot different before the opening of the 2025 season.
For that, he will take the initiative to fortify their squad.
“I know I’m going to try and get some guys in here. Most definitely that.”
Josh Jacobs earned praises for performance
Lots of Packers fans were disappointed with the way their season ended.
Jacobs can’t hide his feelings after the loss, even thinking he could have done more.
“This (expletive) hurts, man. I put my all into this,” Jacobs said. “I pour my all into my teammates. For me, it just felt like I’m letting them down.”
His teammate Jayden Reed thinks differently. The wide receiver believes Jacobs poured everything for the team.
“The guys who work as hard as they do like Josh Jacobs, he’s a (freaking) dawg. He’s always giving everything he got,” he said.
