Packers rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper authored a performance for the ages Sunday night against the Seattle Seahawks.
Cooper, making his return from a hamstring injury, produced five total tackles, pulled down the first interception of his career, and recorded one sack and two tackles for loss, as he essentially took up residence in the Seahawks’ backfield all night.
Not only was Cooper the highest-graded player across the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus, in Week 15, but he also took home NFL Defensive Player of The Week Honors for the second time this season.
With the award, Cooper becomes the first Packers player since Clay Matthews in 2010 to claim the honor twice in a season and only the second Packers defender ever to win the award twice dating back to 1984, when the league began giving out the award.

Matthews is quite the player to wind up in the company of, in Packers lore.
Cooper has become an ascending talent in the Packers’ front seven and could be in the mix to take home the NFL Defensive Rookie of The Year Award if he continues this stellar pace through the close of the 2024 campaign.
So far this season, Cooper has posted 59 total tackles with 3.5 sacks and an interception through the first 11 games of his NFL career.
