Quarterback Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers will be without one of the offense’s most dynamic playmakers when the playoffs get underway in Philadelphia against the Eagles, and likely far longer than that.
Sunday afternoon during the Packers’ heartbreaking 27-25 loss to the Chicago Bears, star wide receiver Christian Watson crumbled to the turf suffering a non-contact injury, that is feared to be a torn ACL, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Watson had previously returned from a knee injury, and the timing of his latest ACL tear couldn’t be worse, given that his rehab and recovery time will likely stretch deep into the 2025 campaign, as well.
Watson’s third NFL season comes to a close with him posting 29 catches for 620 yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns, while averaging a career-high 21.4 yards per reception.

The Packers will look to Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks to pick up the slack in the passing game, and especially on Wild Card weekend, tight end Tucker Kraft could take on an expanded role in Love’s hierarchy.
