The Green Bay Packers have seen a multitude of their former players go on to establish themselves as legitimate coaches in the NFL. That is no different in 2025.
In fact, one former player took to social media to react to his new NFL coaching gig.
Breaking: Former Packers Player Reacts To Landing NFL Coaching Gig (Report)
The Green Bay Packers are going into the 2025 season once again expecting to compete for a playoff spot. Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets want to get to the playoffs for the first time in their era.
In order to do that, New York has added a former Green Bay starter to their coaching staff.
According to Jets beat writer Harrison Glaser:
BREAKING: Chris Banjo & the #Jets are working on a deal that will make him our new special teams coordinator, per mikeklis9news.
Banjo was the Broncos special teams assistant the past 2 years.
Moreover, he interviewed for the positions of special teams coordinator for the Cowboys and the 49ers. As for the 49ers, they selected Brant Boyer from the Jets as their special teams coach, replacing former defensive coordinator Nick Sorensen.
On Wednesday, the Jets hired Steve Wilks as their defensive coordinator. Their only remaining position is offensive coordinator, which Lions passing game coordinator Tanner Engstrand is expected to fill.
