The Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills will enter the 2025 season hoping to compete for a championship. Obviously, Green Bay is the most inexperienced of that group when it comes to playoff games. However, their trajectory has only gone up from 2023 to 2024 with Jordan Love under center.
As it turns out, all three of these teams are in the running for a game changing wide receiver.
Breaking: Packers, Chiefs, Bills Going After Same Star (Report)

The Green Bay Packers face stiff competition for star wide receiver DK Metcalf, as Corbin Smith of Emerald Spectrum reports the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills are “monitoring” him:
The Chiefs and Bills would both represent outstanding landing spots for Metcalf. Like the Packers, both AFC squads are in dire need of a top-level wide out, and you have to figure that Metcalf would jump at the chance to play for either team.
Smith added that Seattle isn’t even actually looking to move Metcalf at the current point in time, which throws another wrench into the Packers’ plans. But that doesn’t necessarily take the 27-year-old off the table.
Metcalf is coming off of a 2024 campaign in which he caught 66 passes for 992 yards and five touchdowns, as he kind of took a backseat to Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the Seahawks’ aerial attack.

Although it doesn’t seem likely (at the moment) that Metcalf will be traded, this is the NFL, and anything can happen. All three teams could still use Metcalf’s deep threat, even though his overall statistics dropped last season. In 2024, Metcalf caught 66 passes but finished with only 992 yards.
Averaging 15 yards per reception, he still excelled as a home run threat. That is something Green Bay’s offense could desperately use. Especially if Christian Watson is able to come back during the latter half of the season for a playoff push.
