Green Bay Packers Vice President of Player Personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan has been one of the more sought-after candidates for general manager vacancies across the league this offseason.
Sullivan has interviewed with the New York Jets, the Raiders, and others, but, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst sounds like he already knows that he’ll be looking to make a hire himself in the coming weeks. To replace Sullivan.
Gutekunst recently offered just three words, when asked about Sullivan taking interviews.
“He’ll be missed,” Gutekunst recently said.
Sullivan has been one of Gutekunst’s top lieutenants with the Packers, since being promoted into his current role in 2022, he’s risen up the ranks inside Green Bay’s front office after arriving in 2002.
Given the Packers’ ability to mine elite NFL quarterbacks via the NFL Draft, and develop them, it isn’t surprising to see franchises expressing interest in Sullivan, in hopes of importing some of the organization’s philosophies and consistency along with him.
