Green Bay Packers fans thought that Aaron Rodgers might play against his former team with the New York Jets. Whether that would’ve been in the Super Bowl or scheduling, many fans have been excited about the potential of playing against their former franchise quarterback.
As it turns out, that likelihood is growing immensely for 2025.

According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic:
So Aaron Rodgers is going to play for the Steelers, Giants or Vikings next season. The Packers play all three in 2025.
Green Bay will play both Pittsburgh and New York on the road, Minnesota would be both home and away. As of now, it seems like the only way Rodgers returns to Lambeau Field is if he signs with Green Bay’s hated rival.
It appears that the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers are in communication and that is his most likely landing spot right now. The power of cash cannot be overstated.
There was a sense two weeks ago that Rodgers would take a lot less than Matthew Stafford was asking for when he became a potential alternative.
One guess from a source close to the discussions: two years, $90 million, with $40 million fully guaranteed at signing is possible.
Minnesota remains a viable option as Sam Darnold just signed a massive contract with the Seattle Seahawks. Here is a look at Rodgers’ stats in 2024:
