Oso Ighodaro is much busier now carving his path in the NBA via the Phoenix Suns but he remains very supportive of his college team Marquette Golden Eagles.

Marquette will make their fourth straight appearance in the NCAA March Madness and will face New Mexico Lobos in the first round.
Are they ready? Ighodaro has faith in his former team. He believes they have the capacity to do what they need to do in the tournament.
“They have everything they need; they have the experience, they know what they need to do and who they need to be,” Ighodaro said in an interview with Marquette Wire.

“I talk to them, try to give them some advice and make sure they’re good, but they have everything it takes.”
The Golden Eagles had an unideal end to their regular season after they lost to UConn Huskies and St. John’s Red Storm in their last two assignments.
They won their first game (against Xavier Musketeers) in the Big East tournament but lost big time in rematch with St. John’s in the next round.
Marquette Golden Eagles senior wants to replicate Oso Ighodaro’s last season
Ighodaro is one of the more successful Marquette players lately. The team reached three NCAA tourney in his three seasons he was there and made better finish each year.
In his last year, the team reached the Sweet 16 round.
Stevie Mitchell hopes to go out strong in his last playing year just like Ighodaro last season.

“We’ll get down into the nitty-gritty in terms of this could be our last time putting on a Marquette jersey when the game gets a little closer,” Mitchell said over the weekend.
“Right now we’re just trying to figure out ways to grow from our last experience together, losing to St. John’s in the Garden.”
