Matt LaFleur made a funny comment on Wednesday’s excuse for Jordan Love’s poor first practice of training camp. Love and the Green Bay Packers offense finished their Wednesday practice by doing push-ups as punishment for their poor practice.
Thursday wasn’t much better for the offense. The offense finished practice with the players and coaching staff doing up-downs after the defense won day two of training camp. However, the wind wasn’t to blame Thursday afternoon.
Matt LaFleur talks about Jordan Love underthrowing his passes
Ryan Wood with USA Today noted the wind might have been a factor in Love underthrowing his passes Wednesday.
Another underthrow deep down right sideline from Jordan Love. Romeo Doubs was open, but Love didn’t lead him. Jaire Alexander knocked it away. Doubs motioned to Love just a little more depth on the throw.
To be fair, Love is throwing into a steep wind today. Definite factor.

According to Rob Demovsky with ESPN, LaFleur didn’t buy it was the wind causing Love to miss his targets during his press conference before Thursday’s practice.
“Was there wind out there,” LaFleur said.
Matt LaFleur didn’t seem to think the headwind was a factor yesterday in Jordan Love underthrowing a few deep balls.
“Was there wind out there?” LaFleur said.
He added: “There were a couple he probably should’ve put a little more air under. Never going to overreact to 1st day.”
