NFL: The Green Bay Packers are in the midst of a new era. The new-look 2023 Packers offense has a ton of talented young weapons. Headlined by Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, this group looks to mesh with Jordan Love over the next few years in hopes of becoming a lethal aerial attack. However, today it was reported that one wide receiver will be starting the year on the NFL’s non-football injury list.
Green Bay Packers Place Wide Receiver Grant DuBose On Non-Football Related Injury List (NFL)
According to ESPN’s Jason Wilde:
According to the official NFL transaction wire, the Packers placed OLB Rashan Gary, CB Eric Stokes, C Jake Hanson and WR Jeff Cotton on the physically unable to perform list to start camp and WR Grant DuBose and TE Camren McDonald on the non-football injury list
Packers rookie wide receiver Grant DuBose was taken in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL draft out of Charlotte, NC. The Packers drafted DuBose because he’s a quality receiver prospect. He caught 62 passes for 892 yards and six touchdowns in 2021 and 64 passes for 792 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022. DuBose’s willingness to do the dirty work caught the attention of receivers coach and passing-game coordinator Jason Vrable.
“Watching him at Charlotte, I thought there were some raw things to him because he only played two years there,” Vrable said ahead of the start of organized team activities. “But the way he caught the ball, the way how physical he was, he blocked, he kind of reminded me of Lazard the way he was throwing his body around and being physical and gritty.”
The Green Bay Packers are excited to get DuBose on the football field, because once they do, they are going to turn him loose just like they did Allen Lazard.

Green Bay is really going to suck bad for the 2023 season. No Aaron Rodgers either. It just got a lot colder in Green Bay. Could be years before even a playoff game chance. Probably won’t win even 5 games this season.
