The Milwaukee Bucks got swept by the Portland Trail Blazers in their series in the 2024-25 NBA regular season following Giannis Antetokounmpo and company’s 125-112 loss to the Western Conference team on Tuesday night at Moda Center.
Deni Avdija, who just turned 24 years old on Jan. 3, was a big thorn in the side of the Bucks, as he finished the game with 30 points. He was efficient on offense, knocking down 10 of his 18 field goal attempts while adding nine boards, two assists and two steals.
Deni Avdija reveals secret behind John Cena’s track after Bucks-Blazers
One interesting thing to know about Avdija is that he is a huge fan of 16-time wrestling world champion John Cena. In fact, Cena’s soundtrack usually plays at Portland’s home whenever Avdija gets a bucket with a foul.

Avdija has been playing well in his first season with the Trail Blazers. So far in the 2024-25 campaign, Avdija is averaging 14.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals through 44 games. His shooting percentage has taken a dip from last season, though. He shot 50.6 percent from the floor in the 2023-24 season when he was still with the Washington Wizards. This season, he is posting a 46.9 field goal percentage.
As for the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo paced them with 39 points to go with 12 boards. Damian Lillard had 20 points and six assists in his return to his old stomping grounds.
