The Milwaukee Bucks are currently 22-17 this season in the NBA and the Portland Trail Blazers have a 13-26 record this season in the NBA. Milwaukee could very well look to buy at the NBA trade deadline and Portland can very well be sellers.
Before the start of the 2023-2024 NBA season, the Bucks, the Trail Blazers, and the Phoenix Suns made a three-team trade that involved Damian Lillard being sent from Milwaukee to Portland. There is a chance that Milwaukee and Portland could be doing business with each other again before the 2025 NBA trade deadline.
Bleacher Report Greg Swartz Suggests That the Milwaukee Bucks Trade For Portland Trail Blazers Forward Jerami Grant
Jerami Grant is one player who could very well be traded before the 2025 NBA trade deadline. The Milwaukee Bucks and many other NBA teams could very well call Portland about Grant before the trade deadline. Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report suggested a trade for each NBA team.
He thinks that the Bucks should trade Khris Middleton and a 2031 first-round pick (unprotected) to the Trail Blazers for Jerami Grant. Swartz said:
“Middleton was recently benched by the Bucks, as the veteran forward is clearly still trying to regain his form after ankle surgeries this past offseason.
As rocky as this season has gone for Milwaukee, this is still a team that could secure home-court advantage with a top-four seed in the East with some additional help.
Grant is a former teammate of Damian Lillard and is averaging 15.0 points and shooting 38.2 percent from three this season. He’d be a strong third scoring option with the Bucks behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lillard.”
There is no doubt that Jerami Grant will be a valuable third option for the Milwaukee Bucks rather than Khris Middleton at this point. They have been missing that third reliable scorer all season long.
Brandon Ingram Could Be Another Option
This season, the New Orleans Pelicans have a 10-32 record in the NBA. They are one of the worst teams in the Western Conference and Brandon Ingram could be another name to watch for. Ingram and Grant are similar players and both would be good options for the Milwaukee Bucks.
There is no question that the Portland Trail Blazers will be sellers at the NBA trade deadline. Milwaukee will have to decide if they want to upgrade the roster in trying to acquire Jerami Grant or if they want to be sellers and acquire draft capital and young players for the future.
