After issues of getting snubbed and not getting the respect they deserve, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics might go on a rampage next season. This possible scenario was recently dropped by former Milwaukee Bucks guard Jeff Teague as a warning to the entire WNBA.
Tatum had a surprising and challenging experience at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Despite winning his second gold medal with Team USA, the Boston star found himself unexpectedly low in the rotation, leaving him puzzled and frustrated.
The Celtics star, who had just come off an NBA championship win and a lucrative contract extension, was expecting a more prominent role on the Olympic squad. However, coach Steve Kerr’s decisions kept Tatum on the sidelines for significant stretches, much to the surprise of basketball fans
Though the All-Star forward maintained a professional attitude, the experience was undoubtedly tough for him. He acknowledged the challenge of going from the winning a ring to a situation where he felt he deserved more playing time.
Former Milwaukee Bucks Guard Jeff Teague Drops Warning About Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics
Even after the Olympics, various personalities are still giving their take on Tatum’s snub. According to a video clip featuring former Bucks champion Jeff Teague, though, the NBA should be wary of Tatum and the Celtics next season.

As Tatum and his Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown, who was also left off the Olympic roster, prepare for the upcoming NBA season, they will likely be fueled by the perceived slights from the Olympic experience. Kerr, who has already established himself as a rival to the Celtics, may now find himself in the crosshairs of two highly motivated stars seeking to prove a point.
The Celtics’ quest for back-to-back championships just got a little more personal, and the rest of the league should be on notice. Tatum’s Olympic snub could be the catalyst for another dominant Celtics run, if Teague is to be believed.
