The Milwaukee Bucks are already without both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard for Sunday’s must-win Game 4 showdown against the Indiana Pacers. Now, they will need to navigate the rest of the game without Bobby Portis as well after the veteran big man was thrown out of the game in the first quarter.
To say that the Bucks will be shorthanded in this one has now become an even more massive understatement.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Bobby Portis Ejected in First Quarter
Emotions are running high in Sunday’s contest. So much so, that Portis got into it with Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard just seven minutes into the game. The pair got locked up after battling for a rebound, which resulted in a shoving match between them:
It appears that Portis may have thrown what looked like a punch/slap in the direction of Nembhard’s head. True enough, the referees saw this as a hostile act that prompted an ejection for the Bucks vet.
Without both Giannis and Lillard, and with Khris Middleton playing through an injury, the Bucks needed Portis to step up on the offensive end in Game 4. He obviously won’t be able to do that now that he’s going to be watching the rest of the contest from the locker room.
