The Milwaukee Bucks only have 14 games left of their regular season before the NBA Playoffs begin. Losers of five of their last seven games, they are in desperate need of a win, preferably one that will revitalize their stagnant offense. Over the last two weeks, the Bucks have struggled to score points despite having Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, who both rank in the top-12 in the NBA in points per game.
There are a variety of reasons for Milwaukee’s recent struggles. Giannis is often asked to play out of position due to Bobby Portis and Jericho Sims being unavailable. Other players, too, are forced to play out of position as a result, and the effects are clearly seen by the lack of scoring on the court.
But there is much more wrong than that. Shooters like AJ Green, who were red hot earlier in the season, have suddenly gone cold. Indeed, the Bucks are in desperate need of a “get right” game, and they have a good opportunity at one on Thursday night.
The Los Angeles Lakers Are Down Their Three Best Players vs the Milwaukee Bucks

Currently, the Bucks are 38-30 and in fifth place in the NBA Eastern Conference. They are a game behind the Indiana Pacers for fourth, and must finish the season strong in order to have some momentum going into the NBA Playoffs.
The Los Angeles Lakers, on the other hand, are 43-25 and in third place in the NBA Western Conference. Like Milwaukee, though, they are just trying to get to the postseason as healthy as possible.
To that end, Los Angeles will be without their three best players on Thursday night. Per the NBA Injury Report, LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Austin Reaves have all been ruled out against the Bucks.
James is nursing a groin injury that has kept him out for the last several games. Doncic is out due to ankle injury management. Reaves is dealing with an ankle sprain.
In other words, Milwaukee will be facing a very depleted Lakers team. If there was ever a game in which they should play well, it is this one.
Interestingly, LeBron has not suited up against the Bucks since December 2, 2022.
