Milwaukee Bucks: NBA Analyst Makes Bold Claim Regarding Teamโ€™s Ability to Compete, โ€œItโ€™s Not Happeningโ€

The Milwaukee Bucks are 38-30 on the season, a far cry from where many fans and NBA analysts expected them to be at this point in the season. With two superstar players in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard on the roster, the expectation was for Milwaukee to be among the top teams in the NBA Eastern Conference and one of the clear favorites to make it to the NBA Finals.

    But they are not.

Instead, the Bucks are currently fifth in the East, a game behind their hated rival, the Indiana Pacers, for fourth. They are also a whopping 17.5 games behind the conferenceโ€™s best team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are 56-13.

Losers of five of their last seven games, Milwaukee does not seem to be a team that can seriously contend for a title this year, something that one NBA analyst has made very clear.

NBA Analyst Chris Broussard Claims the Milwaukee Bucks Are Not Title Contenders

Speaking on โ€œFirst Things First,โ€ NBA analyst Chris Broussard argued that the Bucks, despite having Giannis and Lillard, are not to be taken seriously. In fact, he went as far as to say that they โ€œare done.โ€

โ€œThe Bucks are done. They are not contenders,โ€ย Broussard said .ย โ€œSo they might win a round, but as far as getting out of the Eastโ€”it is not happening. They are in a real dogfight for seeding, which is important in the East. And theyโ€™ve lost five of their last seven games, all right?ย They are mediocre.โ€

Mediocre is a pretty strong label to put on a team with title aspirations, but it is hard to argue with right now. While Milwaukee has had streaks of impressive play, they have also had streaks of confusing and downright poor basketball. They are mired in one right now.

The fact of the matter is that the Bucks are injured, old, and not very athletic.

That being said, if everything goes according to plan, they will be healthy for the NBA Playoffs. And as fans have seen over the last few years, the postseason is an entirely different animal.

    Anything could happen.
