The Milwaukee Bucks made the difficult business decision to trade three-time All-Star Khris Middleton to the Washington Wizards earlier this week. AJ Johnson, the Bucks’ first-round picks in the 2024 NBA Draft, was also sent to the Wizards as part of the deal.
In return, Milwaukee received 2020 NBA Champion Kyle Kuzma and UWM product Patrick Baldwin Jr. from Washington (the Bucks have since traded Baldwin to the San Antonio Spurs for cash).
While many fans saw the trade coming (and may have even been wanting it to happen), there is no denying the fact that Middleton is one of the greatest players in franchise history. He ranks first in three pointers made and attempted, second in games played, and third in points scored.
Indeed, Kuzma has some awfully big shoes to fill, and Bucks fans are all saying the same thing about him now that the trade has become official.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans Are Rooting for Kyle Kuzma to Succeed
When news of the trade initially went down, many fans expressed disappointment in the return for a franchise legend like Middleton. After all, Kuzma is averaging 15.2 points per game and is shooting just 28.1% from three.
But after the initial shock wore off, fans were all saying the same thing about their new forward:

I truly hope Kuzma works out and Bucks continue to win and make the playoffs and win a championship with him but we still need more

As one can see, the general consensus is that fans hope that Kuzma succeeds and the trade turns out to be a good one. Only time will tell, though.
