Milwaukee Bucks news: Friday night won’t just be any other game for the Charlotte Hornets. Apart from the fact that they get to test their mettle against one of the title favorites this season in the Bucks, it will also be the first time star forward Miles Bridges returns to action after a lengthy absence.
In an official statement, the Hornets have confirmed that they are welcoming Bridges back now that the controversial 25-year-old has served out his league-mandated suspension.
Miles Bridges Will Play Vs. Milwaukee Bucks on Friday

The last time we saw Bridges on an NBA basketball court was on April 10, 2022. That was the last regular season game of the Hornets for the 2021-22 season.
In the summer of 2022, Bridges’ life took a massive turn after he was accused by his then-girlfriend Mychelle Johnson of assaulting her in front of their two children. Bridges was arrested on domestic violence charges and has since been in a lengthy and high-profile legal battle with the mother of his children.
It did not take long before the NBA launched a formal investigation into the matter. The league decided to suspend the 6-foot-7 forward for the entirety of the 2022-23 season, forcing him to sit out what should have been arguably the most important campaign of his career.

After missing a full season and 10 games of the 2023-24 campaign, Bridges is now finally set to return. He will be back on Friday night when the Hornets host the Bucks at the Spectrum Center.
On Thursday, the Hornets made an official announcement on Bridges’ status via Twitter:
“Miles Bridges is eligible to return to our active roster on Friday after serving his NBA suspension. We are comfortable with Miles returning to play based on our current understanding of the facts of the recent allegations and remain in contact with the NBA as that matter proceeds through the court process,” read the statement.

Bridges, who is coming off his best year as a pro during the 2021-22 season, is currently on an expiring deal. This is after the Hornets decided to extend his qualifying offer for the 2023-24 season. Needless to say, it’s going to be a crucial campaign ahead for the former Michigan State standout.
