Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo recently rose to 52nd in the NBA’s all-time scoring leaders list during the team’s recent defeat.
During last Tuesday’s 125-112 loss against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Greek Freak recorded 39 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists on 17-for-24 shooting from the field and 5-for-10 shooting from the charity stripe.
According to The Athletic’s Eric Nehm, Antetokounmpo, who entered the game with 19,700 career points, passed John Stockton (19,711) in the scoring list.
The next player for Antetokounmpo to pass is Antawn Jamison with 20,042 career points. With how he has been playing this season, we won’t be surprised if the nine-time NBA All-Star will leapfrog him soon.
Milwaukee Bucks prepare for rematch against San Antonio Spurs
The Milwaukee Bucks will square off against the San Antonio Spurs at the Frost Bank Center this Friday for their second (and last) regular season meeting of the 2024-25 campaign.
Milwaukee won 121-105 at home earlier this month, as Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Brook Lopez combined for 73 points in the starting unit. Gary Trent Jr. and AJ Green added 14 points each off the bench.
Victor Wembanyama only had 10 points on 4-for-10 shooting from the field in the defeat, so look for him to try and bounce back.
