The Milwaukee Bucks are 29-24 this season and they are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. Giannis Antetokounmpo has missed the last several games because of an injury and he hopes he could return on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers (31-23).

This week has been a very slow news week with not a lot of NBA action going on and the NFL season officially being over. The Bucks have not been past the first round of the NBA Playoffs for the last two seasons. If the season ended today, they would face the Indiana Pacers (30-23) in the first round.
ESPN’s Shams Charnia Makes Another Crazy Report About Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo

Antetokounmpo has been in the news for many reasons this year for the Bucks. Half of the time, it is the media trying to create crazy narratives about Giannis Antetokounmpo wanting to play elsewhere other than Milwaukee. Well, NBA Central mentioned on Twitter by saying:
“Shams Charania says Giannis Antetokounmpo wants to stay in Milwaukee, but if he doesn’t see sustained long-term success there, he will look elsewhere”
Shams Carania said this on Get Up on ESPN. It will be interesting to see how far the Bucks will go in the playoffs this season. If Milwaukee is another first-round exit this season, then Giannis Antetokounmpo potentially being traded from the Bucks this offseason may heat up.

“Latest intel” as he refers to something Giannis said a couple of years ago about failure.

After this season, Antetokounmpo will be under contract for two more seasons. After the 2026-2027 season, he could decline his player option and become a free agent. If Antetokounmpo accepts that player option, he would then be a free agent after the 2027-2028 season.
He is 30 years old. Antetokounmpo is still one of the best players in the league. It seems as if he doesn’t have any interest in leaving the city anytime soon and that ESPN loves to push a narrative to see him play in a different market.
