“I’m Married Now So There’s No Password on My Phone”: Trolling Giannis Antetokounmpo Explains How Account Was “Hacked” Regarding Viral Dunk Contest Tweet

After Mac Maclung inspired stars around the league over All Star Weekend, Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s apparent response to Ja Morant‘s tweet about doing the dunk contest next year went viral. Fans went giddy anticipating the Greek Freak tomahawking the hoop with time to prepare and stylize.

“Mac might make me decide to dunk,” Morant tweeted. Giannis replied, “If you do it. I’ll do it with you 💯.”

Shortly after, of course, he doused the fire by claiming he had been “hacked.” The tweet wasn’t his, he wasn’t committing to next season’s contest.

In his media session ahead of Milwaukee’s first game post-break, February 20 hosting the Clippers, Antetokounmpo took the troll a bit further, explaining the specifics of how his account was supposedly breached.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Reveals How His Kids Broke into His Phone

Taking Giannis at his word, no break-in was required. “No, I don’t have a password on my phone,” he admitted. “You can get on my phone and get all my information. All my data, my bank login, my social media login. I’m married now, so there’s no password on my phone no more. I used to.”

There is nothing to indicate that most of his story isn’t true. Congrats to Giannis on embracing a transparent marriage. As long as he isn’t leaving his device in vulnerable places, no harm, no foul. The NBA doesn’t need a Shohei Ohtani scandal of its own. According to Giannis, though, his kids are the most plausible villains.

“My Kids can get on my phone, they know how to get in. They go on the Disney app, YouTube Kids and watch YouTube all night. Stuff like that.”

With another on the way, Giannis and his wife, Mariah Riddlesprigger, are currently the proud parents of two sons and a daughter: 5-year-old Liam, 3-year-old Maverick Shai, and 1-year-old Eva Brooke. The two boys enjoyed All Star Weekend watching the festivities from the sidelines with their dad, who sat out with his calf strain, and exploring the locker room.

As the older siblings, they’re also the ones implicated in Giannis’ accusations. “So yeah, sometimes they can also get on Twitter and, uh, tweet,” their father deadpanned with a raise of the eyebrows. Bucks fans can rest assured knowing the mystery has been solved.

    State of the Union

Aside from dose of true crime, Giannis provided updates on a variety of issues. As for his calf strain, he said he and the team are trying “to be smart,” and not risk aggravating the injury in regular season games. His focus, and the team’s, is on the playoffs. He did allow, however, that he was able to practice, and did not rule out returning Thursday.

Although he has yet to share the court with them, he also praised new additions Kyle Kuzma, acquired from Washington for Khris Middleton, and Kevin Porter Jr, acquired from the Clippers. “They’re fun guys to be around. Kyle is a great guy, Kevin is a great guy. I’m excited to join them.”

When reporters asked him about the difficulty of adjusting to Middleton’s absence, Giannis reiterated his emotional challenges. “I don’t know if anybody in the organization got as emotional as I did,” said Middleton’s teammate of 12 seasons. “I was probably the closest guy to him.”

Milwaukee travels to Washington on Friday, so, assuming both are available, the longtime friends should meet on a court not too long from now. “You know what I’m going to do?” Antetokounmpo joked. “I’m going to make a three in his face and go, ‘Cash.'”
