The Milwaukee Bucks edged out the Atlanta Hawks 110-102 in the NBA Cup semifinal in Las Vegas. The Bucks go on to the championship game and will face either the Thunder or Rockets.
Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was pivotal, producing 32 points for Milwaukee with 14 rebounds, and nine assists while Damian Lillard added 25. Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was key for the Hawks as the young star scored 35 points and 10 assists but missed free throws cost Atlanta.
Giannis accomplishes a big milestone
Giannis Antetokounmpo has passed Bob Lanier (19,248) to move up to No. 60 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. He has the most 30/10/5 games in the NBA since the NBA-ABA merger (1976-77).
This season, he has averaged 32.7 ppg, 11.5 rpg, and 6.1 assists per game. Giannis is having an MVP season and performing as if he is the best player in the league.
This season, Giannis Antetokounmpo reduced his 3pt frequency to the lowest of his career and is shooting much better from the midrange, especially the long midrange, up from 34% to 46%. This opens a lot of possibilities both in the post-up and on the perimeter.
