Wisconsin basketball stopped its bleeding last Saturday when they snapped a three-game skid in an 83-74 win in Indianapolis over the Butler Bulldogs. Perhaps the Badgers also got a boost from the presence of Wisconsin legend Devin Harris, who was seen with Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard and the players in the locker room.

Harris starred for Wisconsin basketball in the early 2000s. He donned Badgers colors from the 2001-02 season to the 2003-04 campaign. During his time with the Badgers, he averaged 14.8 points on 44.7 percent shooting from the field and 37.5 percent from behind the arc, 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists through 96 games — all starts.

Harris, who is now 41 years old, was taken by the Washington Wizards in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft but his rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Harris played for 15 years in the NBA, including an All-Star campaign in the 2008-09 season with the New Jersey Nets.

As for the Butler game, the Badgers drew strong performances from the pair of Nolan Winter and Steven Crowl. Winter finished with 20 points and eight rebounds in 29 minutes while Crowl bounced back from a poor showing in a previous game by garnering 18 points and six rebounds in just 17 minutes of action.

Wisconsin basketball, which improved to 93 following the win over Butler, is expected to take care of business this coming Sunday against the Detroit Mercy (317th on KenPom).
