Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, barring any major changes on injury report, will share the same court again on Friday but this time, not as representative of the Milwaukee Bucks but as opponents.

The Greek Freak thoroughly discussed the trade that ended his 12-year partnership with Middleton, including the chance of finally seeing him for the first time and being on the floor from opposite sides.
Antetokounmpo jokingly said that he would rub it in Middleton’s face once he makes a shot from beyond the arc with him as the defender.
I’m not shaking his hand. I’m not talking to him. I’m not even looking at him. And every time I see him, I’m guiding him full court, picking him up full-court. You know what I’m going to do? I wanna make a 3 in his face and go, “Khash.”
He later on clarified that it’s just a joke.

Turning serious, Antetokounmpo said it is weird that he will no longer see Middleton in practice, in the locker room, and on the bench.
He reminisced that they were the longest-tenured players on the team and went through the ups and downs as part of the Bucks.
“It was definitely a weird feeling for me because I’ve never played an NBA game without Khris being on the roster,” he said.
He also shared that he already saw Middleton’s “thank you” message and that made him emotional because he was the closest guy to him being there in Wisconsin since they were the worst team in the league.
They also played together in high-pressured Game 7’s and then won the championship together.
In the end, he said he understood that what happened is part of the business and that he wishes his former teammate best in this new chapter.
