The Milwaukee Bucks flew to New Orleans early in anticipation of a strong snow storm that has now blanketed the city with heavy snow. However, the storm did not subside and the game at Smoothie King Center with the Pelicans is officially postponed.
Reports say the current Louisiana city snow is the heaviest it suffered since 1895.
NBA Communications made the announcement on the same day that the game will be played.

The Bucks and the Pelicans were coming to the game as the hottest teams in the league at the moment, with both of them on their own four-game winning streak.
It was not sure though if Pelicans star Zion Williamson would have been able to play.
Milwaukee Bucks running against time for Miami Heat game
The Pelicans was supposed to be the first game of a back-to-back for the Bucks. The second one is not cancelled yet and Giannis Antetokounmpo and company need to hurry back home to host the Heat.
The problem is flights are not yet fully allowed.
The Athletic reported:
Per league and team sources, the Bucks will not be able to fly back to Milwaukee on Wednesday and instead will attempt to return early enough in the day Thursday to be back in time for their scheduled TNT game against the Miami Heat. That game is set for 6:30 p.m. CST.
The current season has been disturbed by natural disasters multiple times this season. Games in California were recently postponed due to massive fires that engulfed parts of the state.
