The Milwaukee Bucks just couldn’t catch a break. They are already dealing with the lack of big men with Bobby Portis (suspension)and Jericho Sims (thumb surgery) out already due to suspension and now, they will not have second top scorer Damian Lillard for a long while.

The team confirmed that Lillard will be out indefinitely due to blood clot on his leg.
“Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in his right calf. In ensuring his health and beginning the process for a healthy return to play, Lillard is on blood-thinning medication, which has stabilized the DVT, and will continue with regular testing,” the team said in a statement.
The Bucks also ensured that Lillard is already undergoing medication and they are thankful to discover DVT early.
What is DVT?

The ailment occurs when there is a blood clot in the deep vein. For Lillard’s case, team doctors thought he is only dealing with a left calf strain but discovered later that it was due to a blood clot.
Several sources said it will take at least three months for one to fully recover from it.
Milwaukee Bucks season down the drain
Many Bucks fans were left devastated by this news. Even non-Bucks fans empathized with the situation of Lillard.
Man, Dame. That’s tough news.

Damn. Get well soon Dame. I had a blood clot in my right calf after my achilles surgery and went on blood thinners (still on them and have a follow up appointment soon)
Here’s what I know (which isn’t much):
– it’s much better than it being higher up the leg

Others think the Bucks season is now in peril with the injury to Lillard who scores 24.9 points per game.
