There are two teams in the Eastern Conference that have a better big three unit than Milwaukee does. The Miami Heat, who knocked them out in the first round a season ago, is ranked sixth. They consider Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro as the big three.
The other team that is better than the Bucks is the Boston Celtics, who is ranked third with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis. It’s understandable if Boston is ahead of Milwaukee, but Miami feels laughable even though they did beat them in the playoffs last season, and feels more like recency bias.

Without being biased, Middleton was objectively awful last season upon returning from injury and was not the same clutch player who could take over late in games that we are used to seeing. Milwaukee must look to their championship Big 3 to return to form for 2023-24. Giannis has made it clear that if this team cannot compete for an NBA title, he is as good as gone. Milwaukee cannot afford to lose play of his caliber or they might as well go into full rebuild mode at that point. This Milwaukee Big 3 is good. I would even venture to say they are great. That needs to translate to results on the court for them to be considered any further up this list.”

One of the most important things for the Bucks this season is to have better success in the playoffs. That is what they are being judged on heading into the 2023-2024 season.
