The Milwaukee Brewers will hit the road again this weekend against the best team in the National League, the Atlanta Braves. Milwaukee also faced Atlanta recently, with the Brewers dropping two of three to the Braves in a hard-fought series.
Milwaukee Brewers Travel to Atlanta to Battle the Braves
The key for the Milwaukee Brewers this weekend is just to avoid getting swept and competing hard with Atlanta. Milwaukee currently has a 57-46 record so far this season and is currently 1.5 games up on the Cincinnati Reds for first place in the National League Central.
As for the Braves, they are currently in first place in the National League East with a 64-36 record and currently have a 10-game lead on the Philadelphia Phillies. The Atlanta Braves will more than likely have a first-round bye in the National League.
The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off a series where they took two of three from the Cincinnati Reds before having an off day on Thursday. They can’t afford to be trailing in the National League Central Standings once this series is over.
This will be the last time this regular season these two teams meet.
