Pat Murphy’s Milwaukee Brewers continue to roll as the remain at the top with a 69-44 record after easily handling business against the Atlanta Braves on the second game of their three-game series.

The team are now on a five-game winning streak and are 25 games above .500, the most by any team. They have now won eight of their last nine series, including double sweep of the defending World Series winners Los Angeles Dodgers.
Division rivals Chicago Cubs lost to the Cincinnati Reds on the same day, creating a four-game separation between them.
The latest win was just like any of the past victories. Another day, another player steps up.
Freddy Peralta led the way when he threw up to the fifth inning for a total of 108 pitches. The number is higher than expected but he believes it was a step to right direction as the postseason looms.

Andrew Vaughn and Isaac Collins combined for three home runs. Veterans Christian Yelich and Joey Ortiz also had two runs each.
It was total team effort again.
Milwaukee Brewers is not like any other team
The Brewers are dominant and exciting and manager Pat Murphy has one explanation.
He thinks his team is hungry and that’s what drives to go for more instead of playing safe.
“We’re not trying to ever play safe. We just want to go for it, and I think they kind of bought in,” he said.

This hunger, to Murphy, is what separates them from other teams right now.
“I think other teams don’t play this way because they have a lot more experienced talent that have proven themselves in the big leagues,” he continued.
“That doesn’t mean, because you’ve proven yourself in the big leagues, that you’ve got to play a certain way, but it’s harder to get those guys to buy in. it’s harder to get those guys to understand moving a runner over is still a thing.”
