There will be a lot of questions about the Milwaukee Brewers before the 2025 MLB season begins. There were many questions about them last offseason when manager Craig Counsell left for the Chicago Cubs and decided to hire bench coach Pat Murphy as the next Brewers manager.
It turned out well for them as the Milwaukee Brewers finished with a 93-69 record and won the National League Central for the second consecutive season. Will Milwaukee have that same luck and go for a third straight division title in 2025?
Bleacher Report Kerry Miller Makes Early 2025 Prediction For the Milwaukee Brewers
Bleacher Report writer Kerry Miller made his way too early 2025 MLB predictions after the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in the 2024 World Series. The Milwaukee Brewers are looking to win its first World Series Title in franchise history, but Miller thinks that the Brewers will not be a playoff team in 2025.
He has the Brewers finishing in third place in the National League Central with an 82-80 record. Kerry Miller has the Cincinnati Reds winning the division with an 86-76 record and the Chicago Cubs in second place with an 85-77 record. The St. Louis Cardinals will finish behind the Brewers with a 78-84 record and the Pittsburgh Pirates will finish in last place in the division once again with a 74-88 record.
His Reasoning
One of the biggest questions this offseason will be whether or not the Milwaukee Brewers can re-sign Willy Adames. If they were not to re-sign Adames, it could be one of the reasons why the Brewers take a step back during the 2025 season.
Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report said:
“Could the Brewers run it back again without Willy Adames? Getting Brandon Woodruff back into the mix should be a big help, and they ought to remain elite on defense with Brice Turang at second base and a strong outfield behind him. But replacing Adames’ 112 RBI may be an adventure for a team that usually has a small budget for free agents.”
There is no doubt that general manager Matt Arnold would need to find a way to replace his production. Miller also added:
“Will Rhys Hoskins exercise his player option and return to Milwaukee? And will Christian Yelich (back surgery) return at full strength?”
Hoskins played well this season for the Brewers, but he did miss some games due to injury. Christian Yelich has also had health problems with the Milwaukee Brewers. If both of those players will not be playing next season, they are going to have to find some internal options or make some trades to compete for a third straight division title next season also.
