The Milwaukee Brewers had a very successful 2024 MLB season by winning the National League Central again with a 93-69 record. One of the reasons why the Brewers were successful again this past season was because of rookie outfielder Jackson Chourio.
Chourio is only 20 years old and he has a very bright future ahead of him. Jackson Chourio is the next star player in this organization and showed signs of his potential during the 2024 MLB season.
Milwaukee Brewers Outfielder Jackson Chourio Named a Finalist For National League Rookie Of the Year Award
On Monday, the National League of the Year Finalists were announced on the MLB Twitter page. The three finalists were Jackson Chourio of the Milwaukee Brewers, Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Jackson Merrill of the San Diego Padres. All three of those players had an impact this season.
Chourio played in 148 games this season for the Brewers. He had a .275 batting average with 21 home runs and 79 RBIs, along with 22 stolen bases and seven caught stealing attempts. His on-base percentage is .327. Jackson Chourio is well deserving to be a finalist, but he is probably not going to win it.
Paul Skenes, the starting pitcher of the Pittsburgh Pirates is most likely going to win it. He was also named a finalist for the National League Cy Young Award. Chourio and Merrill weren’t named finalists for the National League MVP Award. That alone will probably get Skenes over the top.

Would love for Chourio to get it but it’ll be Merrill

All 3 of these guys would win unanimously if they were in the AL.

Chourio is awesome, but it’s between Merrill and Skenes

Skenes is the only choice.
A 210 ERA+ puts him in elite company against anyone all time
The greatest starting pitchers all time have only reached 200 ERA+ 5x in their career.

the order will be
1. skenes
2. merrill
3. chourio— will (@shin11_will) November 12, 2024
It will be interesting to see what the order of the National League Rookie of the Year voting will be. Chourio is no doubt a nice story for the 2024 season, but he probably won’t get that many votes to win the award.
