The Milwaukee Brewers pitching staff should be getting a few players back from injury in the near future.  Currently Devin Williams, Jared Koenig, D.L. Hall, Enoli Paredes, Joe Ross, and J.B. Bukauskas are all on the injured list.  Of this group both Williams and Koenig are on track to return shortly after the All-Star break.

Tuesday in Milwaukee Devin Williams threw to live hitters for the first time during his recovery process.  He had been throwing bullpens previously, but facing opposing batters brings a completely different level of intensity.  His next steps include getting into live games by going on an injury rehab assignment in which that could begin as soon as the weekend of July 12 and may extend to shortly after the All-Star break.

Milwaukee Brewers: Jared Koenig is also on track to return shortly after the All-Star break.

Manager Pat Murphy provided some good news on Jared Koenig by relaying that he is on track to return shortly after the All-Star break.  He has been on the injured list since June 29, is slated to throw another bullpen on July 11, and it is not yet known if he will need an injury rehab assignment or not.  This year Koenig has been a surprise contributor in the bullpen as he owned a 1.66 ERA across 38 innings pitched before landing on the IL.

Other pitchers on the mend include D.L. Hall and Joe Ross.  Hall, who had his last start in Triple-A cut short by rain, is slated to pitch his final rehab game on July 9 and should be activated prior to the All-Star break.  Ross pitched during his first injury rehab game on July 6 for the Timber Rattlers, threw 34 pitches, and at the earliest is expected back at the end of July.
