The Milwaukee Brewers have a good young core of players that will ensure that they remain competitive for years to come. They also have a smaller group of veteran player who, at least last season, played at an All-Star level. Despite the many changes to the roster in the offseason, these returning players give the Brewers a good chance of winning the National League Central Division for the third year in a row.
The Milwaukee Brewers Have 2 Great Left Fielders in Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich
Two of these returning players that will be leading Milwaukee for the rest of the decade (and beyond in the case of one player) are left fielders Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich.
Last season, Yelich returned to All-Star form before being shelved for the second half of the year with a back injury. Prior to his season-ending surgery, he was hitting .315/.406/.504 with 11 home runs, 42 RBI, and 21 stolen bases. Yelich was voted as an All-Star starter for the first time in his career and made his third career All-Star appearance.
Chourio, who signed a massive 10 year contract with Milwaukee before even playing a Major League game, finished third in NL Rookie of the Year voting after hitting .275/.327/.464 with 21 home runs, 79 RBI, and 22 stolen bases.
He is the youngest player in the history of Major League Baseball to have a 20-20 season.
Milwaukee Brewers Stars Christian Yelich and Jackson Chourio Earn Top-10 Rankings Among Left Fielders
MLB Network has been ranking the top ten players at each position in all of Major League Baseball. Recently, Brewers catcher William Contreras was named the top player in his position by the network, as was former Milwaukee closer Devin Williams.
On Wednesday night, the crew released their top ten list of the best left fielders in baseball, and Yelich and Chourio were both listed:

As one can see, Chourio came in seventh in the network’s ranking after his stellar rookie season. He beat out stars like Gold Glove winner Steven Kwan, slugger Tyler Ward, and division rival Bryan Reynolds.

Yelich was ranked even higher than Chourio, coming in as the network’s fourth-best left fielder despite playing just 73 games last year.
But what is even more impressive is where other analysts had the two, specifically Chourio, ranked:

As one can see from the graphic above, Brian Kelly has Chourio ranked third and Yelich ranked fifth. Chris Young ranked Yelich sixth, but named the Brewers young star Chourio as the second-best left fielder in the game.
While it remains to be seen how playing time in the field will be divided among the two, Milwaukee is spoiled with two great players that are getting much-deserved recognition for what they bring to the table.
